FIS
How is a FIS taxed in Luxembourg?

The FIS is entitled to full exemption from

  • Income taxation (IR)
  • City commercial taxation (ICC)
  •  Wealth taxation (IF)

Le FIS bénéficie d’une exonération totale sur le plan de :

  • l’impôt sur le revenu (IR)
  • l’impôt commercial communal (ICC)
  • l’impôt sur la fortune (IF)

It only pays:

  • A contribution tax not exceeding € 1,250.-;
  • An annual subscription tax set at a rate of 0.01% and whose taxation base is made up by all net assets of the specialised investment funds assessed on the last day of each quarter.

Yet the February 13, 2007 Act provides for annual subscription exemption cases for instance for FIS whose exclusive purpose is the collective investment in monetary instruments and deposits with credit institutions.
